Amica Arbutus Manor

I have had the pleasure of providing Physiotherapy treatment to the residents at Amica Arbutus Manor and have nothing but great things to say. What makes this community stand apart is the service, level of care and professionalism the place has to offer. The staff are fantastic and they go above and beyond to make sure each resident feels right at home. I would highly recommend as Amica Arbutus Manor has really figured out how to provide a very modern form of living for their residents because of the many options they have to provide.

My wife and I moved into Amica Arbutus Manor at the beginning of March of 2020 and almost immediately were “locked down”, at first partially and then completely. We were impressed at the speed the staff responded in caring for us in our suite and subsequently with hallway activities. As understanding of Covid-19 developed, the Amica staff responded accordingly to keep us safe and healthy. Throughout the ongoing pandemic, we have continued to be impressed by the professionalism, kindness and patience shown by all the Amica staff with ourselves and other residents in often trying circumstances. We wish to say thank you to all the staff and management!

The last 2 years working for Amica Arbutus Manor has been the most unforgettable experience I have ever gone through. I always feel so warm and fuzzy inside when I know I am coming in to work. Seeing all the smiles from team members and residents, it almost feels like I have another family at work. From the amazing food to the exercise classes held here at Amica, I can honestly say I would feel more than comfortable having a loved one stay at such an amazing place.

No words could truly express the gratitude our family felt towards the staff at Amica Arbutus Manor. From the very first day that our mother moved in, we were treated with such kindness and compassion that we just knew it was the right home for her. Over the course of 15 months, Mom was treated with dignity and attentive care that far surpassed our expectations. Our family was always greeted with warm, wonderful smiles as soon as we stepped into the building; we were made to feel like part of the Amica community. Thank you to each and every one who looked after and loved our Mom, we are forever grateful.

My Mother-in-Law was an Amica Arbutus resident for about eight years. My husband Ric and I visited every Wednesday, doing her laundry, visiting and having a deluxe dinner. We got to know many of the excellent staff and residents, we were always greeted warmly with friendly smiles and comments like oh, it must by Wednesday! Over the years we were also able to enjoy many of the special events organized by the staff. To our Mom, Amica was simply home, filled with loving family. We lost Dorothy in early March last year just before the Covid lock down, we did have time to all say our goodbyes to her in the hospital, and remarked at her incredible timing.
